An absolutely stunning vintage Pellini Milano necklace, a very high quality piece c1950 so probably designed by the founder of the company, Emma Caimi Pellini. The necklace is in many, subtle shades of amethyst, sapphirine blue and grey, consisting of thirteen fine strands of differing sizes of crystal, real abalone pearl, moss agate and hand made sapphirine Murano glass beads that change colour wonderfully in the light. All hung on fine gold tone chains, it drapes beautifully around the neck, sitting high against the throat and cascading down the front with a intricate beaded clasp. Truly a beautiful piece and a real show stopper! The family firm of Pellini designed jewelry for Dior and Balenciaga in the mid 20th century, and continues to design for major houses such as Lacroix, Valentino, and Fendi.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Length: 14" (35cm) at throat, dropping a further 6" (15cm)
